I have a Fusion 8100 that I purchased in the last two years that I began to have problems with about two months ago. I use all Emotiva UAW 8.2 in-walls for my surrounds, and recently the receiver developed a popping in the left rear channel that happens intermittently with content or without. It is not necessarily loud, but definitely audible. I switched speakers with my right channel, and isolated the cable and still had the problem. I sent it in for repair, and the repair bill came back and said that some of the transistors were replaced on the board, but I am still having the same problem. I am sending it back a second time this week, but are there any other users that have had the same problem? Was it ultimately fixed? I have to mention that this was a factory renewed unit, but carried the same warranty when I received it.
This unit is used sparingly...maybe 6-8 hours a month in my dedicated HT. I hate to replace it because it is definitely adequate to power my rear surround channels, and I have several other Emo amps to power my front soundstage and everything matches.
If any users can chime in on this, at least I would know if it is a known or common issue.
Thanks,

I had a similar issue with my Fusion 8100. A loud crackling sound started coming out of the surround left speaker. This happened periodically when the unit was on, and did not go away when the unit was muted or even switched to standby mode. The only way to make it stop was to power the unit down completely using the switch on the back. I contacted Emotiva Customer Care at sales@emotiva.com and had the unit replaced (as it was still under warranty).

I am having similar issue as the OP, except it is happening to my front left channel (I have 2.0 setup). I have also isolated the cable, and the noise would still be heard whether there is content or not. Did you get your unit fix finally?

Yes, but only after it was sent in for repair twice. Apparently there were several faulty transistors on the amplifier boards that were fixed. Since then I have had no issues and the system is whisper quiet. I did run into another issue that after the unit was repaired the volume knob is sporadic at best. I have re-flashed the firmware per Keith's advice, but I am still having the issue. I am now out of warranty so it is something that I am just living with. Just a shame, seems to be plagued by some real piddly issues for such a nice receiver.
