UMC-1 HMDI ARC Capable? Not getting audio from Samsung TV

I cannot get my UMC-1 to playback audio signals from HDMI ARC channel from my Samsung Smart TV. The Optical connection works fine but I get nothing if I use the HDMI ARC output from the Samsung. I went through all the menus and settings in the UMC-1 and Samsung and do not see a toggle. If I attempt to set up the input on the UMC-1 to HDMI for the Samsung TV it does not hold the setting, it defaults to "None" anyone done this with any success?

What am I missing or does it just not support this function?

Yes I did do a search but did not get an answer to my questions. Thanks in advance for any insight.

The UMC-1 is not ARC capable.

Thank you that explains it. Was that functionality added to the UMC-200? I assume that the XMC-1 would most certainly have that capability.

Not sure about the UMC-200 but yes, the XMC-1 has it. I'm sure the MC-700 supports it as well.
