Is it possible to connect a subwoofer to the Airmotiv 6s?
What cables do I need, and what ports would I connect it to?
Which would I connect to first, from my PC?

Using RCA cables...
Preamp/PC ->SUB->Airmotiv
Would probably need a 3.5mm to RCA L/R cable.
You want to set the sub to pick up where the Airmotivs leave off. You'd probably want to edit the sound profile on the back of the Airmotiv to reduce the bass it wants to produce.

Thank you. I currently have RCA cables from the PC to the Airmotiv.
So I go RCA cables to sub, then another RCA cables to Airmotiv.
Right?

If you have the Airmotiv speakers connected directly to your pc, you would need to split the signal from your pc, so 3.5mm to dual 3.5mm female. Then one set of male 3.5mm to RCA to the speakers and the other 3.5mm to RCA to the Sub.

Yup, as long as your sub has Left and Right RCA in and Left and Right RCA out. The tricky, though not terribly hard, part is getting it all dialed in so they blend.

Do you agree with beardedalbatross that I need to split the signal like described in beardedalbatross's post?

Do you agree with beardedalbatross that I need to split the signal like described in beardedalbatross's post? It really depends on whether your sub has RCA outs and whether or not your sub is inconveniently far away from your speakers.

Here's my near field rig : XLR Mac Mini ==> Audio gd Ref 5.32 ==>> Audio gd NFB1amp/preamp ==========>> Airmotiv 6s (2) \ \ RCA \===============>> SVS SB12-NSD (Sub)
Having the NFB1amp/headamp/preamp between the DAC and Airmotiv 6s really helps to blend all frequencies together quite nicely and seamlessly.

Kingwa is really something eh! Dude's one hell of an audio EE with a good ear and methodology in audio EE design. Sorta like a Chinese version of E.J. Sarmento with a similar mentored background. (EJ got his start in audio design pushing brooms for Nelson Pass long before Cullen Circuits and ultimately W4S)
