I've often found myself wishing that Emotiva would have offered a more solid remote with the PT-100 preamplifier/tuner. The small remote would often work itself down in my chair in the gap between the arm and the cushion. I had picked up a Harmony Touch for $99 at Crutchfield about a year ago during a sale. I went about defining the PT-100 into the Harmony software and it determined to add it as an "Emotiva A/V Receiver". I didn't really care what it was called as long as it functioned properly. Sure enough, the volume, mute, power and input selector features were all added. Yeah! So, now, the included PT-100 can be tucked away in a drawer. I've included a picture of how the entry for the PT-100 appears on the Harmony Touch remote.

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

I don't have a PT-100, but here is how the custom entry to my XSP-1 looks on my URC MX-890

Sounds like a personal problem to me. I might have to agree with you on that one. However, the remote that comes with the PT-100 is a bit "anemic", though I love the PT-100 to death. Especially paired with the SA-250 amp. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

Hi, I have a PT-100 and am thinking of getting a remote control such as the harmony. I like the PT-100 but really really hate the remote ... so much so that I'm willing to spend almost as much on a remote control! At any rate, I am wondering if there's a way to set up the remote so that it can directly change to an input, instead of the up/down selection that it currently does (I know the remote would have to have a memory of the current selection, and the available ones, but perhaps it can be programmed to do that?). Thanks for your info.

AUDIO TIP #1
Take the battery out of the Emo remote
That way it cannot leak

Perhaps Harmony should give all manufacturers a discount coupon to stuff into the box of new gear and omit providing a remote at all. Manufacturers can supply codes to Harmony and alls good!
Let the ney saying begin!! 😜
