Hi all, has anyone expirienced these, namely the bipolar surround, I'm curious after reading a bit on them, thanks in advance.

They have a good rep, but I've not heard them.

I've read various reviews about the Signature series, as I've been curious about the line myself, but haven't heard them. The first wave had a crossover issue, which apparently has been fixed. Reviews are somewhat mixed. I love the look of this line, especially the towers. For the price, I have been tempted to try them, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
For what it's worth, I currently run their XLBP bipolar surrounds, and enjoy them. Owned the smaller version previous, sold them to upgrade to the XLBP when they came out. Good price-to-performance ratio, at least in my system.

I was looking and reading about the XLBP as well, I am thinking about replacing the DefcTech 800 I'm using as surround and surround back, I want to make a wider sound field, will those be worth the extra money?

Not bad looking, actually kind of cool. Specs seem about average. Price is right. Not sure why speaker builders can't make more efficient speakers though. The Emotiva speaker line along with these is especially low. Maybe I am just spoiled with speakers that hover around 100db and enjoy how little power they need to make them sing.

I didn't think the efficiency was low on some the new speakers.... but 85-86 is low. I think of average as being 88/89 - but maybe I'm wrong.

I enjoy the Emotiva AMT tweeter so much I am not going back to a dome tweeter unless its the Focal pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeters or something that cost insane amounts of money.
It's the tweeter that seems to matter most to me now.
Looks like there is going to be many companies that are making affordable and very good sounding home theater speakers. Home entertainment and 4K displays are going to be big this year and the coming future. If you ask me, we are just getting started for the masses out there that do not have 9.60.222 5000 watt surround setups like all the audio nuts here.

I keep reading that bi/di pole surrounds are going out of fashion. I've had a few mono-pole speakers for surrounds and never quite got comfortable with the direct sound. Once I had a pair of ERD-1's I knew I'd found the right type of surround speaker. The only reason I'd give up the ERD's is for a pair of bi/di pole speakers in cherry to match the song towers. And I'm not actively looking. They do the job just fine.

Credit for this picture goes to @tllfkacn who appears to have done a great job of photo editing and drilling down on this lovely looking E2 surround speaker. This is not a small surround if you ask me. Size alone over the older ERD-1 should make this a better performer.

It's the tweeter that seems to matter most to me now. After buying my first pair of Infinity Interlude speakers that has been my main concern with speakers. The Infinity CMMD tweeter is one very good tweeter - too bad Infinity hasn't made a woofer worthy of matching up to that tweeter. The Infinity Interlude was a decent speaker but didn't have that 'thump' in the mid bass. FWIW the silk dome tweeter in Emotiva's Reference speakers is as good as the Infinity tweeter IMO. And almost a dead-nutz match to the Infinity tweeter. When I bought the ERT 8.3's many years ago I matched them up to an Infinity IL36c center. First time I ran through the test tones I was quite surprised to find the IL36c was a near perfect timbre match to the ERT's. After replacing the IL36c with an ERM-6.3 I was kind of surprised that the timbre match was slightly less of a match than the big Infinity center. That doesn't happen often. I had an AV123 'Bigfoot' center with the ring tweeter - it was a terrible match for the ERT's.

It's the tweeter that seems to matter most to me now.. Other than the Stealth 8 (and maybe 6) I've really not heard any other Emotiva speakers. I feel ignorant. Can you share what makes the AMT tweeters so so... good? Is it possible to compare/contrast to a dome tweeter?

Emotiva nomenclature is high-frequency folded-ribbon transducer. No, I am not the one you want to compare/contrast to a dome tweeter. I just know I like the Emotiva high-frequency folded-ribbon transducer more than any dome I have heard. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris and he said that the really expensive dome tweeters sound good.
