Hey everyone, today I ran Dirac Live LE version, although music sounds great, the bass level is very low, I increased the levels and also the volume knob on the subwoofer, but it doesn't sound the same as the factory default presets. Any way to adjust this? thank you

Back when the XMC first came out this was a common thing that was talked about. If all you have is Dirac LE then the best to thing is to try different initial setting for the sub. For example when setting levels in dirac try setting it a bit lower so Dirac doesn't have to make realyy drastic changes. Also there is a calibration file I can send you from when I had my Emotiva microphone calibrated and that seemed to help for many users here, I can send it to you if you like just PM me. The best solution is Dirac Live Full which allows custom curtains and adjustments of the whole frequency band. Also realize that before correction you may be hearing exaggerated bass which may sound good but be wrong technically. Every room has nulls and voids and bass boost as different frequencies cause by the room , once Dirac takes care of this your bass will not sound like what you are used to. Dirac shoots for a flat frequency response , Dirac Full will allow you to dial in what is commonly referred to as a house curve. Lots of stuff to learn about bass correction so do lots of reading , there is some really good threads on here from when the XMC first came out.

What kind of mic do you plan to use with it?

That's a good question Mark, I neglected to mention that a calibrated mic from cross spectrum is recommended for the best results.

Any way to adjust this? thank you The link below will take you to a very nice explanation of how to design a custom room curve. When you do your measurements, I recommend the "chair" spacing for microphones as opposed to the wider spacing shown in Dirac for a "sofa", the resulting default room measurements will tell you a lot about your room and how each speaker performs. Dirac is even pretty good at helping you place your subwoofers. You can take a single measurement, check it, move the subs and check again, etc. Socketman is right, it takes a lot of reading and experimentation, but the results can be exceptional. I employ a custom curve with an 8db bass boost like the one in the document the link will take you too, and the results are very nice. Jerry Austin over on AVS forum wrote the document and he is very helpful. Good luck. www.minidsp.com/support/community-powered-tutorials/263-custom-dirac-live-target-curves

I am using the XMC-1 for music only & no sub.
I have Dirac full & run a ruler flat curve. I get flat response to below 30 Hz.
I use the loudness button.
If anything I have a bit too much bass.
A detailed description of your actual speakers (like what size are the woofers on the front's) & crossover points would help
