@2:10
Fully balanced 150@ 8 ohms, 300 watts @ 4 ohms!!! Tiny footprints. This is going to be smashing for any system. I will be reccomending these as a front end for my regular Joe friends who balk at the larger more complicated solutions.
That is a tiny footprint. Couple it with an Emotiva 4A speaker and two basx 8 subs for a good full range system or simply an Emotiva 6A speaker without subs and you'll be JUST fine!
That is a tiny footprint! Couple that with some nice bookshelf speakers like a B1 or Axiom M22s' and two Emotiva basx 8 sub.
What a great system that will be and affordable - coming near the 1k range for electronics and speakers together. If you want to go cheaper than the DC-1 you could go with a little ego for a computer based system forgoing some connectivity and fully balanced drive. But seriously that stack is basically bringing high performance in to a tiny footprint. This would be a perfect reference system for my second room. No compromises.
More importantly - all of it is controlled by one remote - the DC-1 remote. We are talking four pieces of separates gear - one remote. Keeping it simple.

Fully Balanced only. No SE input per the picture of the back I saw.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why in the world would you be pairing monoblocks to powered monitors? Wouldn't the DC-1 be enough in this case?
Edit: A 75 watt stereo unit would be nice.

Fully Balanced only. No SE input per the picture of the back I saw. Take a close look at the input @ 2:47 and you will see it is a professional input like the one on the Stealth 8. These are on the Stealth 8 and with a unbalanced 1/4" connector that adapts to RCA you can connect single ended. Pro's like choice with there gear and this is part of Emotiva's professional products. Looks like a single ended connection will work from the look of the input on the PA-1 but you would want Emotiva to confirm that. •Input Connectors One balanced combination connector (accepts a balanced XLR, balanced 1/4", or unbalanced 1/4" connector)

The B1s are not receiving a makeover.

Personally I'm not sure that I would be interested in the 150 watt Class D monoblocks and Airmotive passive monitors, I'd more likely choose the Airmotive powered monitors with their built in Class AB amplification and a lot more watts. Then I would only need a DC-1 on its own, or more conveniently an Ego. Choice is always good though and Emotiva are certainly offering lots of choices in how we configure our systems. The interesting addition for me was the auto power on for the powered Airmotives, that's a nice feature. Cheers Gary

I think Garbulky saw the new not released 4A, 5A and 6A in the video and thought they are passive. I am sure Garbulky knows you do not connect power amplifiers to powered monitors.
You could use these little PA-1 / 150 watt monoblocks with any Airmotiv passive speaker Emotiva makes including the new T2.

Heres how it goes. Big Dan announces a new product, then shaves clean after he says its going on sale "soon"! At this point he waits till the beard gets to just the right length before its placed on the Emotiva sales sight.
Rinse and repeat!!

But they look gorgeous! I hope the angled stand comes with it. It makes it look very nice. It looks like the ASM base. Ah well maybe ibstead the B1 speakers and two bas-x 8 inch subs. That's a pity, I was hoping they would have a more beefy bookshelf model. I don't think the B1's NEED all that power. Maybe there's a B2 4 ohm speaker in the horizon. But it would still work. Also it may work very nicely with a t1 tower and no subs. If I had my way, it would be some Axiom M5 HP + two basx 10 inch but at that point the price starts to go past the $1000 mark. It's still a high quality system though.

The red light on the front gives it away, kinda indicates that there is some power there. The bases look to be the same Emotiva ones that I use under the Airmotive 4's in the home office. I'm pretty sure that they used to be on the Accessories page, but not there currently. Cheers Gary

Finally I have the answer as to wether these little amps would be balanced or not! Interesting that they went with only balanced connections. Love the price. These will be on my short list for next amp purchase for my main stereo system, replacing the mini-x!
