These were just introduced at CES 2017, and as the Klipsch Rep said, he thinks they'll go in to production around Q3. Unless you were at CES 2017 to hear them in an untreated environment, I highly doubt anyone here heard them. When I first saw this video right after CES, I was quite enamored with the new finish look. Having looked at them in the video for a few week now, I wish they had kept the wood finish on the front of the speaker like the current Reference II series, and the base to me looks cheap, which is based on the current Reference Premiere speakers.

I haven't liked anything from the Reference lineup since 2005 when the last G2 stuff rolled off the line. There's not a lot of difference in size or tech between the II's and III's. Pass.

I am a Heritage guy. I have lots of Reference line stuff but the old Synergy with poly woofers sounds better in the bass department. For the price of the RF 7 II's or III's I am sure you could grab Heresy III's and a pair of small subs. That would be my route to take.

Like the original RF-7, these speakers need to be way out away from the walls in a very large room!! It wouldnt be fair to the speakers or owners to place them any other way. Stop me when I'm lying!!

Forte III is a true classic-dessert I wonder if it's worth doing an upgrade from 7II. Front view of new 7III does not convince me too much.In fact - the plastic front is a step backwards. But new construction of horn is ok. I wonder what is the change in sound compared with 7II. Or Forte III I wish the guys in the Klipsch tried once to use beryllium tweeter. It would be a real step forward

Well, new 7'IIIs, I might have to start saving now.... I'm not overly fussed with the new look on front, having said that the rubber horn enclosure will be a huge step up in sound.. My 7 II's have the hard plastic enclosure and sound is resonated through it, however if you use a sound supressing material to put in behind all but eliminates this, about a hour to do , not difficult at all...there's even a y/tube vid about it...
I LOVE the sound and power of mine , they roar when you give them some power to play with, and yes they can be very loud when you turn them up but still hold clarity and precision, you really don't need a sub, he he ,I have 2 but damn don't you get some real slam when you have them...Neighbours probably won't be to fussed, but hey they will just have to get used to it, he he he....Besides it ain't a party till the cops arrive...

I have my La Scalas up for sale local. Had an offer to trade for RF-7s AND Pioneer KLF-30s for them both. What's your impression on the RF-7? I've never heard them. My room is not that large.

Does anyone know the specs? Probably very close to the II model. The biggest update in the RF-7 line was the jump from I to II. They explicitly announced that the only real changes were cosmetic and the design of the horn to fit with the Reference Premier line.

I have never heard them personally but every report ive read about the RF 7 is that they need 2-4 feet off the wall and a bery large room. Recently Ive seen a side by side photo of the 7s and my Studioos and the 7s are massive, My Studios are in a 14' X 16' X 8' room and the room is far too small for the Studios to open up in sound, they need a much larger romm. My Studios are on the far right and the RF-7 is in the middle.

The RF-7II's are very similar in size as my KLF-20's just 6in taller but equal in depth, width & weight, and only 3in taller, 2in less wide and equal in depth, yet 14lbs less than the KLF-30's. I've been mulling over pairing the RF-7II's and an RC-64II with my 4 RB-5II surrounds, but now when I compare the RF-7II's and my KLF-20's I'm thinking this may just be a lateral move and not an improvement. Anyhow, I don't believe they would be too big for my approximate sized 18x21 living room.

I find the bass response is much better with the poly woofers than with the new copper. I have room for the RF-7 II's I just wasn't blown away by them when I heard them. Maybe it was the setting but the bass seemed restricted.

There is a second dealer that I go to that sells Mac equipment, but also sales a fair amount of klipsch and they have the Rf7iii. First yes I have heard them and they are bigger in person than you might think. The sound quality is good and they can get quite loud. I would use these myself in a home theater rather than my main system because of the spl level. These are speakers that need room to breath because of the sound pressure level. I wouldn't stop you from getting them, the horn tweater is nice for rock and the sound decent with jazz. If bass is what you want, you will get it in spades without the need of a sub. Again just make sure you have the room. If you like the klipsch sound, I think you will enjoy these. These do what klipsch is known for. The guys are right you don't need much power at all, a small amp, receiver or low watt tube amp would be fine anything more with these is over kill and would drive you out of the room. In terms of over all loudness, they eat most speakers for breakfast.

I have had a pair of RF-7iis and an RC-62 for about 4 years and love the sound. My living room is not that big about 20 x 15 ft. I use them to watch TV mostly and play music. I watch TV a about a a fairly low sound level. The music gets turned up to almost reference level. These speakers sound great to me but I have gotten used to Klipsch sound. Had RF-62iis and RF-82iis before. The RF-7iis blow the two lower level Klipsch floorstanding speakers away and also look much better. They are kind of big but but fit in well with my overall system.
