I have my La Scalas up for sale local. Had an offer to trade for RF-7s AND Pioneer KLF-30s for them both. What's your impression on the RF-7? I've never heard them. My room is not that large. I have never heard them personally but every report ive read about the RF 7 is that they need 2-4 feet off the wall and a bery large room. Recently Ive seen a side by side photo of the 7s and my Studioos and the 7s are massive, My Studios are in a 14' X 16' X 8' room and the room is far too small for the Studios to open up in sound, they need a much larger romm. My Studios are on the far right and the RF-7 is in the middle. Holey moley!!! Those RF-7's make your Paradigm seem tiny! (Except yours certainly aren't anywhere in the ball park of tiny!!)

I've never really considered the RF7IIs as huge but maybe I have just got use to them next to my Klipsch Belle's. I'm not very fond of the new RF7III's look as the front should be in walnut like the cabinet is. I am looking forward to reviews tho against the former 7's

I never have been a Klipsch guy. These new ones just look large and don't erase memories of people playing Klipsch speakers at insane volumes at college parties.

There has been alot of debate about the Klipsch sound. I have owned two models back in the 70-80s. The Klipschorn and LaScala. I liked the sound but never was totally satisfied with the bass. At the time I used no sub woofer. Back in my period if you paired either model with top tubed equipment you usually had a really sweet damn good pair of speakers. And even at 50 watts you got great sound.
So fast forward forty years. I am planning on a separate dedicated 2 channel system and want good mid range electronics and good mid range costing speakers. The Klipsch line is definitely on that short list. Bang for your buck is up there. I plan to get my modest 4K costing amp-preamp -and media player followed by 3K of dedicated two channel speakers. I honestly dont know which brand but there are at least 10 brands that sound great. Klipsch is on that list. Vent over

I think the KHorn is in the mid 30s Hz. 20 years ago I built my first subs for use with my Cornwalls. I was amazed at what this added to the low end and have modeled every system since with dual subs!

Like the original RF-7, these speakers need to be way out away from the walls in a very large room!! It wouldnt be fair to the speakers or owners to place them any other way. Stop me when I'm lying!! I agree with you. I have the originals(w/ deanG) and they are about 12-15 inches from the wall and that might still be a little close. This is a reason why I might be downgrading. They sound amazing, but my space isn't huge and I bought a psa v3600i which plays crazy flat..
