Hi, all. We have an announcement we'd like to share with you.
As of Feb 1, 2017, we’ll be raising the prices on a few of our models. Because this is something we don’t do very often, we wanted to be forthcoming and transparent about it, and explain why we’re doing it.
The reason for the current price increases is simply that the cost to make many of our products has increased. As you are no doubt aware, our business model is to manufacture high-quality products as efficiently as possible, keep our margins low, and pass on the savings to our customers. After evaluating our production costs, from sourcing materials to production and manufacturing, we determined that some of our costs have gone up significantly, which leaves us no choice but to increase a few prices. These price increases are nominal, especially when you consider the various rising cost factors. We aren’t making more profit from the increases; we simply needed to adjust the prices of a few products because the cost of manufacturing them has gone up.
We are quite certain that, even that with these modest price increases, our products still represent an incredible price to performance ratio, and we’re sure our loyal customers will agree. We’re especially proud of our XPA Gen 3 amps, which we feel are a major bargain compared to the competitors out there. Our XPA Gen 3 amps offer true audiophile performance and sound quality - at very competitive prices – and they’re assembled here in the USA, in Franklin Tennessee.
We are committed more than ever to expand our local manufacturing efforts, building more and more new models in the USA. If you’ve been following our company for the past 13 years, you know that we didn’t do any significant manufacturing here in the USA until just two years ago. Over the last two years, and especially this past year, we’ve expanded our American manufacturing operation significantly, creating more local manufacturing jobs at Emotiva than ever before. We are proud to say that many of our current products are designed and assembled in the USA, and we remain committed to bringing more of our production home in the near future.
Unlike some other companies, we didn’t want to spring these price increases without explanation, or simply hope that our customers wouldn’t notice them. We hope that this announcement has helped you understand why this was necessary, and assure you that we are determined to continue to offer the absolute best value proposition in economical high-end audio equipment available today.
