Just recieved my XPA 5 Gen 3 Amp and i am loving it so far. It came double boxed and when i opened it up you can tell right away there is something very special inside. Came with an amplifier birth certificate..a nice touch 
I have been using an Adcom GFA 7400 5 channel amp for more than 15 years, and i really liked the sound of it.
1st up was to play Terminator Salvation and i noticed right away a big improvement in the opening scene in the prison cell. With my Adcom i had to turn up the center channel to hear the actors speaking more clearly, but not with this amp.
Not only were the voices much more clearer, but the weight of the voices was much more pronounced also. I only briefly checked out the scene with the very large robot and the same thing, being able to clearly hear the actors speak with all of the noise around them.
Since i had to go to work shortly after hooking this beast up, i also quickly played some of my favorite music and also noticed right away the big improvement in sound. More detailed, smoother sounding, voices more focused in the middle with 2 channel listening, and the bass was the biggest improvement compared to my Adcom. It had more extension, went deeper and had that really smooth detailed sound as i just heard with the blu ray.
