I ordered the snake. Is that a mistake? Is there a big difference between the Snake and individual XLR cables in sound?

Thanks. The sales rep at EMO said the Snake would be fine and he uses it. There is so much debate on cables I feel dazed trying to research it all.

I use a 7-channel XLR snake which replaced 7 cables. No difference, except the snake looks tidier.

I sincerely doubt that the back of your cabinet is untidy. Mine OTOH, was a rat's nest. I've since cleaned it up and it looks super organized, although nobody ever looks at it... except me!

I agree. Last fall I noticed my cat watching something in the family room and when I looked there was a baby Copperhead in the rug. I fixed that gap in the French Doors immediately after I dispatched the snake.

I don't have experience with the XLR Snake from Emo but I do use the X Series XLR balanced cables for all my sources (with the exception of my Turntables) and use them into in to my amps I can attest to their quality, reliability and they are dead quiet all at an exceptional value...I think as with most Emo products they truly teeter on the edge of diminishing return for dollar spent. I have listened to my software on some stoopid systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and I have to say my mainly Emo system can run with the big dogs...

I use an 8 channel snake for my 7.1 processor and also a couple of 2 channel snakes in my system. I use Mogami snake wire and Neutrik XLR connectors. These are my favorite interconnects in my system. Here are 5 of my 8 channel snake connectors going to my XPA-5 amp,

I use 2 Mogami snakes... a 2 channel and a 5 channel as my amps are next to, on opposite sides of my XMC-1, not stacked.
