Hi,
Would Emotiva ever offer an optional warranty ? Like perhaps a 1 year like many manufacturers, and additional 4 year at $x.xx extra?
I'm not sure of the location of the majority of clients (US first and then Europe?) - but I know those in the outlying locations can't ship back due to cost - and waste the 5 year warranty anyhow.
THanks

I wonder if there would really be any true cost savings with a 1 year warranty. I would think this would create more back end cost with managing which units were sold to which customers with what warranty. The transferable warranty only further complicates the matter.

I'm not sure ... But I thought they'd have built the 5 year into the price. So, I thought an $999 amplifier could be offered at $749 or something with 1 year.
A friend bought an XPA5 that stopped working. Although under warranty, shipping back is too expensive and he'll rather go for an established brand (in our area) then risk it again.
I've also got an XPA5 and was considering an XMC1 to complement, but to blow $2,000+ on something with an effective zero warranty is a little scary!
By comparison, I could get a Rotel or Marantz fully backed up for the same price.
I know it's a massive challenge though ... But just a suggestion
