Hello All I am looking for speaker recommendation for my Atmos Install. I currently have Seaton Cat12 as my LCR and Sparks for surround. I am thinking either to go with Monitor CT-380IDC or Martin Logan EM-R. I am in the process of picking up a Gen 3 XPA 5 to power Atmos. I would appreciate any recommendations between the two. Cheers You see unwittingly, you've underscored my fundamental problem with Adding ATMOS to an existing home theater configuration that includes loudspeakers, some of us have owned and loved for years, and tossed in an anomaly. Be it object based audio or more conventional formats, the speakers should be as close to an acoustic match as possible. If Atmos music takes off, and the overhead speakers suck, is that not a problem? Bill

Hey Guys Quick post. Unfortunately I was unable to get passive version sparks from Mark, but ended up getting 4 sparks that came on sale (AVS). Now my biggest challenge would be to install them as Atmos from my ceiling. My ceiling does have an attic large enough for a grown person to walk around. Let me know if any of you have managed to install a 33 pound book shelf type speaker as an in ceiling speaker. Some (a lot of) speakers don't like being mounted with the cone hanging down. Cheers Gary Spoke to Mark at Seaton. He confirmed no issues with installing sparks pointing down. He confirmed people have done this using U Bracket. If I am unable to figure he also assured to help me the U Bracket.
