Thanks Nick...your humor is well noted. I was trying to post a picture without using PHOTOBUCKET. PHOTOBUCKET is a pain. It downloads every picture from I photos. I am using google photos which allows you to store all the pictures you want for free and lets you delete pictures from IPhoto's to free up space on iPad or iPhone. You do not lose the pictures oin google photos
How do you guys (monk) post your pictures? I was trying everything and honestly I do not know how I posted that picture. There's a BIG 😂

I was trying everything and honestly I do not know how I posted that picture. There's a BIG 😂 What you did was link to the web page where your picture was, and used the video icon to paste that page link. That's why it didn't appear. The way to post a picture is to go to the page where the picture is, right click on the picture itself and then you should see a menu item appear that says to copy the image link. Select that by left clicking on it, then select the image icon in the Proboard Emo Lounge post (the one that looks like scenery), and paste it in there.

Cool looking amp, bluemeanies! I like the red transformer covers. Did you previously own the ST-120 amp? If so, could you compare & contrast the ST-120 vs the M-125s? Thanks - Boomzilla PS - If you'd care to have them, PM me your mailing address and I'll mail you some free tube damper rings for the driver tubes. PPS - Love the acoustic foam - makes me feel like I'm at garbulky's! LOL

I like. Nice Amp. I am steadily getting more curious about tubes again. Starting slowly. No big hurry to do it right

I like. Nice Amp. I am steadily getting more curious about tubes again. Starting slowly. No big hurry to do it right For me it was a journey b/c of several reasons...one reason at the top of the list...$$$. Another was understanding how tube amps work and also "how to bias an amp" "What is bias" those things had me a little concerned. I was debating between the Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum ll and Bob Latino's amplifiers. I believe the BL' s are a much heartier amplifier in construction. The transformers are high quality...heavy...there is nothing short changed on Bob Latino's amplifiers. He wanted to keep things simple but well thought out for his customers. My dream amplifier was the McIntosh 275 stereo amp but at a cost of $6-$6500..I felt the $$ value when listening was not worth it. Would I have bought the McIntosh if I had the $$? Only if I was in a money was no object situation and I wanted that brand name in my 2channel room. Then again I might not because Bob Latino"s amplifiers, the ST70, ST120 and the monoblock m125 are terrific and give me sublime listening. My postman listened to my m125's. He owns the McIntosh 275 and paid $6,000 plus tax. He was very impressed with Bob's m125's and said he wished he had known about them before he picked up the McIntosh, especially since he had good soldering capabilities. After that I felt good that not only did I save BIG bucks but I had a quality piece of equipment.

Very nice looking amp. bluemeanies, congrats! Will be interested in hearing your impressions. tweed here is a review I wrote for the m125's about a year ago. I had always in my search for that near perfect sound been willing to spend a little more than what I originally proposed for my budget. It's human nature. Over the years I have spent enough money for several systems always wanting improvement both in my equipment and listening experience. It took me a long time to realize how quickly I become disappointed after purchasing a piece of audio equipment (speakers, amps, processor) since sound quality quickly disappears once I set things up in my room. My room is ascouticlly balanced and was designed NOT to be the perfect square or rectangle for both HT and 2channel listening. Yet I have never quite experienced the same quality in sound in my home as I have in a Home and Audio B&M store. On my recent quest for attaining the live experience, the movement of a guitarist's hand moving back and forth on the frets of a guitar, the clear sound of Diana Krall's walking her fingers up and down the keyboard I thought I would consider stepping up my speakers to a higher level. Thinking that is what I will have to do to attain a higher quality of sound. I had spent many hours searching and listening to all kinds of speakers. I was discouraged but determined. The speakers that I was listening to and comparing with my B&W804S were IMO not worth trading in and having to spend additional funds. After more than one demonstration I sat and listened to what I have and realized the value I would receive in a trade to own a better pair of speakers was not worth it in dollars. The search was still on. I later became friends on another forum with a generous gentleman who decided to lend a hand an guide me to what we both agreed we wanted to hear from a recording and how he had attained his dream system. He invited me to take a listen to his partially handmade, hands on 2channel system. It was comprised of Bob Latino's m125 mono-blocks driving a pair of Dynaudio Gemini speakers using a Grace Design m920 high resolution monitoring system. The speakers came in a kit and are not available at present. The m125's need no explanation. From the first recording which by the way came from Tidal, the recording was very open and spatial. It much sounded like a live recording with the artist in the room center stage and I, seated in the front row. Every note played was as if the artist was there in the room and for the first time in my audio experience I found out what is meant by the WARMTH presented in listening to TUBE AMPLIFIERS, Bob Latino' m125's were exquisite to the taste of my music palate. The physical appeal to the m125's were industrial. The power was INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH! The transformers were painted black and as I was told I would be able to paint them any color I would chose....FERRARI RED?...a thought. Looking at the chassis of the m125 (16 gauge are my thoughts) I would compare its build quality to a military tank made from brushed stainless steel. Rough, tough and ready. I have found that my 500 watt mono-blocks while having the power and giving me plenty of headroom have cheated me with presentation, sound quality and nuances that I have experience with the m125's Sonically the m125's are fast and open. IMHO when it comes to any audio products it boils down to parts, tubes or solid state. The quality of parts put into the m125's are without reproach. Like many I have spent countless hours on AUDIOGON and Audio Mart searching and re-searching for a quality piece amplifier while having Bob Latino's masterful amplifiers right in front of my face. I also understand the allure for such amplifiers such as McIntosh which are very well constructed and thought out in engineering design but have always thought that there are other manufactures out there that are not nearly as costly and give a better bang for the buck. The Dynaco m125 tube amplifier delivers that approach and in its first performance in MY presence delivered clarity, detail and warmth for a fraction of the cost of what McIntosh and many others deliver. I finally found my Golden Fleece. Very Happy Frank

In the past maybe I would have been tempted to move up to the M125's since they have more power but even operating my ST-120 in triode mode which gives me about 32 watts per channel, that is plenty of power. The M125's would be nice but also overkill. Bob Latino is truly a good guy. He makes an excellent product and really cares about his customers. He's an honest guy who delivers on giving you your moneys worth with his amps.

Well - I have a tube receiver in the house. Same model as the one I bought as an 18yo sailor in the USN - bought 51 years ago.. It's a Sansui 500a 17 tube receiver. It was completely gone through about 2 years ago by a gent on Audio Karma - he replaced all the capacitors and many of the old resistors that had deteriorated from heat over the years. It doesn't have the original 7189a power tubes - and thank goodness for that. The NOS 7189 tubes fetch a small fortune for 4 of them - and instead installed 4 6P14P power tubes - the rest are all stock tube numbers. The 6P14P is an EL84 clone or very close to it - don't know what the differences are but unless I want to try out something else in the output side. At any rate had I bought a Fisher 400 or 500 that day at the Naval Exchange I'd have bought one. I recall there was a Fisher sitting there that day but a buddy of mine that had looked into receivers urged me to buy the 500a. Since I had enough money to buy the Sansui and a Petri 35mm camera and the receiver that's what I bought. The Fisher was more money. Both served me well - the camera for 10+ years before I finally wore it out - I used the Sansui 6-7 years daily before deciding to go with solid state. The Sansui served me well for all those years. I got the Sansui up and running last night - had to install the tubes first. Pushed the power button and slowly the tubes started lighting up - tried out the AM - worked great - next was FM - that too worked just fine. Now all I need to do is take the Nikko out of the vinyl setup and see if this reminds me of why I bought it! I played lots of vinyl back then and the Sansui sounded great. I'll probably get it set up tonight and spin some vinyl and see if it takes me back 51 years. Here's a couple of pics lifted off the net so you can get an idea of what mine looks like. Mine is very clean with very good cosmetics. The top cover looks to have been refinished on mine. Nice re-paint but it isn't quite like the original as I recall it.

Frank-
Thanks for reposting your review and thoughts!
I very much agree with Monku and his thoughts as we both share the ST-120's. Bob Latino has really created something special.
In all the years and amps I have had the ST-120 was the first time I thought WOW! this is a huge improvement...this is what I have been searching for.
