If Spotify does offer lossless, I wonder if Roon will finally integrate the service? As a TIDAL HIFI subscriber, I am frustrated a few times per month when I cannot find an album (primarily classical).
Safe to say they will use FLAC and not OggPCM which, if memory serves, has zero compression and would require a lot of bandwidth.
I hope they do come out with a better quality streaming service. I use Spotify on a daily basis and feel it is the best as far as interface and finding new music. The downfalls of it are quality (not that is terrible), but this would check that one off the list. The other is that they won't let their service be native to any other system or components. They want to use Spotify connect. It does have it's perks, but also makes it complicated for some situations.
