What a flashback you just gave meπ Got it free but I had to replace the disintegrated belt and also threw a AE-95 cartridge on and the cork mat, it isn't bad but my Project Debut Carbon did sound better haha

I like the looks of your Music Hall cork mat. What has stopped me from buying one is the middle portion when the record label portion would rest should in indented not recessed out.

I got a cheap cork mat off ebay for Christmas. In my rig, on my Rega, it was a wonderful improvement. Better bass and less surface noise work for me. It cost $15.

I have tried a few TT Mats in my day. Some were very thick though, and I had to adjust the Tone arm height. But otherwise it is a profound improvement over stock in allot of cases. The Marantz TT I saw here in a previous posting I had sold literally a semi truck load of them. So easy to TT in the day. Vinyl is fun. It is complete, and it is another way to get the magic through those speakers, and headphones.

It might be OK as-is. The center doesn't look as thick as the risers around the edges essentially making it "recessed." I could be way off, of course. That's just the way it looks to me.
