They liked it. Though I did expect it to do better than the Elac. Sounds like a fair review.

Consider that the T1 speaker was conceived partly to compete with ELAC's Debut F6, not the Uni-Fi F5. That's the explanation for the $300 price difference between the Elac and the Airmotiv in Steve's comparison, and he was using speakers he had on hand to do the side-by-side, which is understandable. If anything, I'm flattered for the Airmotiv T1 to be compared to the more expensive and flashier Uni-Fi tower instead of the budget F6. For things to be compared on more equal footing, the speaker to compare the T1 to would be the F6.
