Hello all.....I have what may be a dumb ?.....I have the pt 100 and a 300 for my 2ch set up. I use a high level connection for my sub as it sounds better in my room. That leaves the 2 sub outs open on my pt 100 so is it in theory possible to use these to send a signal to a separate 2ch amp so I can use my mach 2 speakers when I want to rock the house? Thanks in advance! I have truly enjoyed this forum and learned a lot from the fellow emotiva heads here...my emotiva gear is the best money I've ever spent pound for pound on audio!

The sub outputs are SUMMED.... which means that the SUB outputs are NOT stereo - they both carry the same mixed MONO L+R signal - which is handy if you want to run two mono subwoofers. (So anything you connect to those two sub outputs will be playing in mono and not stereo.) Hello all.....I have what may be a dumb ?.....I have the pt 100 and a 300 for my 2ch set up. At the risk of using this thread inappropriately, I have a subwoofer output question about MY PT-100. What exactly IS this output? I am trying to match up small speakers with a different vendor's subwoofer and I need to understand what the low-pass details are. Nowhere can I find what frequency at what db range is out put from the PT-100. I am used to having a preamp that allows ME to select the crossover freq. So, does anyone know what the output of the subwoofer jacks is on the PT-100? Is there ANY way to set the low-pass frequency on this preamp? Thanks!

I may be wrong, but according to the manual, there is no lo-pass control on the sub outputs of the PT- 100. Nor is there a separate level control. Those functions are expected to be provided by the (built -in) amplifier of the subwoofer. Keith will correct me if needed.

Errrr..... kinda sorta.....
The two sub outputs are both SUMMED (so, rather than stereo, the same monaural signal is output from both - which is usually what most people want from a sub).
