Check out this new Rotel unit. www.rotel.com/product/rap-15807-Channel Integrated Amp with 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos Processing. ...something familiar in that face.

Rotel is one of the grownups in this sector and it is to be expected to see more companies get into quality Receivers and stand alone Preamp Proccesors. This one is a Receiver and well most here know that it can make for noise to stick a big amp and all that computer processing in one box. Don't seem to matter if you Mcintosh audio or Sherwood audio a separate PrePro is the way to go. I have a feeling that no matter how good a Receiver gets built it will be hard to get the analog sound quality that you can get from Emotiva's separates. This looks very nice for a Receiver and has all the bells and whistles you could want. Rotel is ok with there power ratings but 100 watts all channels driven may be a stretch at best. I would buy it, I trust Rotel. Anyone seen the price ?

$3799 msrp. Interesting to note, only 3 of the 8 HDMI 2.0a inputs are HDCP 2.2 compliant. It doesn't have room correction software, but it does have P-EQ for manual room correction. It also looks to only have 7 channels of amplification, so an outboard power amplifier will be needed for the Atmos/DTS:X ceiling channels.

I would not spend that much for this because personally my $500 Sony Receiver drives my five guys with 60 watts all channels and sounds plenty good for the very low cost speakers I am using.
If you can spend this much you should wait for the RMC and save another $1000 up before it is available. If you get a RMC you need some proper speakers to go with it. Do not get a RMC and hook it to your BB budget speakers.
