Just got the email that my MC-700 has shipped ( WOO HOO ) anything I should know before connecting !!!!

I find it helpful before connecting any piece of gear to make sure I recall the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow. And, that there are many jokers around here.
But seriously, other than that...a general working knowledge of a/v gear is helpful but I assume you have that.
On the MC-700, will you be using it with 4k sources? As I recall, there are some details you will need to know for that, like which HDMI inputs are best to use, etc. There are whole threads on that if you need it. Per the manual: "HDMI Input #1 through HDMI Input #3 should be used for commercial 4k UHD and 4k UHD HDR video sources like 4k Blu-Ray players and satellite boxes; HDMI Input #4 through HDMI Input #6 should be used for HD video sources and non-commercial 4k video content.". And, as I recall from a thread...if you use a 4k input, you don't have an OSD...I might be wrong, but I recall that.
Other than that, hook it up,do the basic setup, and enjoy. Get into EmoQ later once you have the basics going.
By the way, what amps are you pairing it with, and speakers?

Still no sign of it. Emotiva doesn't have a way to locate it either. So I'm in a limbo. I guess that's USPS for you. |

USPS tracking has shown the same status for 3 weeks now. "Being delivered to destination" isn't actually helping anyone interested in the whereabouts of the package. |

Mostly miss. I've had something delivered and two days later the tracking is updated. |

Current units should have the heatsink installed on the Cirrus chipset that was the cause of some issues. The current firmware version is 2.8.7 as they are beta testing 2.9.0

Got mine on the twelfth! Anyone else get their unit? Mine's up and running. I'm very satisfied! I roll in stereo only and I prefer the MC-700 to my miniDSP DDRC-24!

I guess someone made a booboo, as after being over 20 days on its way to destination from South Africa it finally arrived to... Swaziland (you'll understand the amazement about the time it took when you look at a map of SA). Amazing really. Especially when the real destination is a country in Europe starting with Sw... And I told about this possibility to Emotiva 20th of March.If there's happy campers and not so happy campers I'm one of the latter at the moment.
