I don't think I am coming to Emofest. NO! You have to! Mark The only reason I want to come is to meet you Nick and the Mods Mark. I could care less about Emotiva's sales event. I know that sounds crass but every time I go to one of these events everybody is to themselves and there little circle. I tried to meet Pdaddy in Atlanta and he told me to get lost because he was busy working. I met one person from the forum that would talk audio with me at the Atlanta Emofest. I can go get me a place on the beach next weekend and not miss a thing with Emotiva. We will see. |

I won't be there until later Friday but will be heading out for drinks with the gang after dark. So is there a consensus on a Friday evening meetup? I have to pick up "jlafrenz" at the airport at 8:45, otherwise we'll be joining in. |

Beach probably has better scenery though... but the beach has no music! |

I would also like to attend the Emofest, but my line of work makes the labor Day weekend a particularly hectic zone of conflicting obligations, with zero leeway for a trip to Franklin... Maybe Emo should consider--in the future, at least--making some of the main events of Emofest accessible to video conferencing, to enable off-site "visits" and hook-ups from other locations, even other continents... I am sure all emo-audio-enthusiasts from around the world would be thrilled to hear that...   Caveat: This is just a thought... I am assuming the technology is available to enable this off-site virtual hooking up system to be rigged up in a relatively inexpensive way, for the duration of an Emofest... If I am wrong, don't chew my head off... I just want to be able to share a beer with some loungers and Emo staffers from behind my laptop, while discussing the latest Emo gadgetry, if possible... If I am right, on the other hand, this might represent a big "win" for both Emo and its clients the world over... |
