I would look around on Craigslist for a used AVR or stereo amp to put in the garage. I think an older name brand would be better than a Pyle.

I really don't want to spend much, say about $100, then I have to bury stereo rca cables going from the house to garage or use wireless transmitter and receiver so I can use second or third zone from main receiver....

Where are you located? If you're close to 29170 I have a Yamaha stereo receiver RX-797 sitting in the spare room collecting dust. I don't have the original box.

Google Chromecast audio. Just run it as its own area whenever you need it.

Hi all, I would like to buy one for the garage, cheap but good Those don't really go hand in hand - especially when "cheap" is relative. You mentioned $100 - I'd look for an older Yamaha RX-V. EWWWWWW! Ew...ew...ew...ew..ewwwwwww... I don't do that with many brands but Pyle in my opinion is a cough away from White Van.

Like I said in the post Gus, whatever it takes to ship it...the receiver itself is free for you. I am guessing $30 maybe? Tim

If you want a new one, gus4emo, Harman-Kardon's website often puts stereo receivers on sale - and they sound pretty good! Their HK 3700 and 3770 are excellent values. Neither is on sale at the moment, but wait a week or two & I'll bet you can get one for a VERY good price. HK sells a refurbished 3770 on eBay for $314.99! www.ebay.com/itm/391785565088?vectorid=229466&lgeo=1&item=391785565088&rmvSB=truePS - OOPS - Sorry - I hadn't noticed your target price of $100... Craigslist, yard sales, and thrift shops are your friends.

Gus got a better deal, $30 for my Technics SA-930. just a PERSONAL opinion, but I'd spend more and take the warranty. I'm guessing the Technics is essentially UnFixable and being HT gear, while probably OK in stereo mode, unusable in any kind of HT application today. When is the (about) last date it was on sale, new? You're OK if you treat the Technics as 'disposible'. And 30$ IS pretty much too good to resist. And most EMO fans treat their stuff OK, which helps, too.
