Is it surprising that expensive audiophile USB Cables don't work? Nope. Seen it allot. I got to my Wal-Mart store get a few and connect. Just so easy. I get my high tension power lines from Walmart too.

Oh my... Then you also need an audiophile grade pad! You are not going to use the one that comes with the transformer, are you?
An exotic material pad, insulating from both vibrations AND stray currents while grounding to earth would for sure make your bass more authoritative and your highs more liquid and luscious...
