Hey everyone,
Just want to let you know that the new XMC-1 4.1 firmware is now available under the resources tab on the product page.
Updates: • New modern look for the front panel display and OSD (no borders). Bug Fixes: Several minor bugs were fixed (based on our testing and user input), including: • Subwoofer crossover slope setting of 12 dB/octave now survives a cold boot. • Setup with a single back speaker no longer allows “DSD Plus Backs” mode (this mode is not valid with a single back speaker). • Manual Lip Sync delay now updates on an input or bit-stream change (the update under these conditions was previously inconsistent). • With certain configurations, some users experienced a loud thump if they started Dirac, then exited without taking any measurements; this has been corrected.

This is great timing.. since I was going to complain that after enabling DIRAC, all volume levels are extremely low except for the left front speaker. I'll try the new firmware

Question, will I/we be able to revert back to the previous firmware if I/we are not happy with this new one?

1) Yes, you should be able to go from any previous version to v4.1.
2) Yes, you can re-install a previous version of the firmware if you like..... (within reason)

Updated with no issues. Gigantic improvement over the UMC-200. Thanks Emotiva.

Updated here too with no issues - XMC-1 (no upgrade boards). I simply LOVE the borderless front panel display!
Here are the versions now: Firmware Version 4.1 17/05/04 FP Version 1.4 15/10/20 Kernel Version 1.1 15.04.07 HDMI Version 1.2 15/07/22 CPLD Version 1.1 15/04/21
This update also fixed the blank HDMI version info from Firmware 4.0 on my XMC-1.

I havent been able to run Dirac without it crashing on my MacBook for almost 3 months is there a fix coming for this? There's no point in buying the all new T2 setup if I cant rerun Dirac once the speakers are in place. Any info is greatly appreciated

I upgraded to 4.1 last night, Everything went smoothly. Other than the difference in the display, I haven't seen or heard any difference

My update went uneventful as well, and that is a good thing. As for hearing any differences, from what I read in the updates, unless you were hearing the thumps when starting Dirac and exiting without taking measurements, then there shouldn't be any difference.
