Hi all, I recently acquired a used SA-250 and am looking for a preamp along the lines of the PT-100. My main draw to the PT-100 is that it actually has a tuner. We just use the local FM radio or stream music from our phone/tablet via bluetooth. What do you have the PT-100 paired with? How's it working? Also, do these ever go on sale (Memorial Day sale )? Thanks!

Sales are gone. For better price check the ebay store for refurbished units with less and non transferable warranty.

2000m2 welcome to the Best forum on the Web! So glad you stopped in, we have an eclectic group of wonderful friend. I own the Ta-100 which is the same but has 50 wpc incorporated into it. I can also use external amps. (Pre outs) ive used a UPA -500 and a set of XPA-1Ls, both were an excellent match but I do have a preference for MONOBLOCKS ❤️🎶❤️🎶 That said I do think you will enjoy the sound of this unit. Ive used Reference Klipsch Bookshelves and a set of KEF LS50's, both sounded well for what each speakers does. Welcome, heres to our new friend.

The Ebay store is not offering much in the way of deals any more. I bought a pair of XPA-1's from them for not much more than they are selling them individually now.

The only good thing is (at least in the past) they accept kind of low ball best offers.

Buy new. No scams. 5 year warranty. Free Koolaid A new purchase of a PT-100 from Emotiva comes with a three year warranty not a five year. Still a great warranty for its class.

If you must have FM, many Vintage Tuners are on the market. www.fmtunerinfo.com/shootouts.htmlJust ONE example among many of FM tuner sites with ratings, reviews and photos. As for the preamp section? Used is again a reasonable way to go. Selling for maybe 300$, the Parasound P3 was in production for at least 6 or 7 years and had a good following. Replaced by the P5, which is also well regarded, the P3 is a good deal as such components go. hometheaterreview.com/parasound-halo-p3-stereo-preamplifier-reviewed/The P3 unfortunately has no 'advanced' features like networking or built in bass management or DAC. Pure stereo preamp.

On an unofficial basis, but speaking as an employee of the company involved in product creation, we at Emotiva hope you will share our opinion that our products are worth every penny of our already very reasonable (and industry-beating - shop around, please!) prices.
What you get for your money with an Emotiva product is beyond comparison (I think you'll agree as you shop around), and it took us some time to come to that realization ourselves after running our storefront along "retail" lines of thinking for years. In addition to making customers wait longer to get their best price, the previous sales model created wet and dry spells for us too. If you look at B&M retail, it is the sales fluctuations created by the "need" to have sales that are killing them slowly, and we want to survive and thrive for a long time to come, to keep bringing our products to the world.
Our new pricing policy is on par with other leading internet-direct players, and emphasizes fairness for all customers. And there is always the used market if you must get a 'deal' on an item before buying. I particularly like that as part of our pricing policy, we 'freeze' pricing throughout the year, so there is no risk of the price going up during the year, with revisions only occurring in Q1 of each fiscal year.
