Would you rather have a Emo B1 with stands with Emo subwoofer or Emo T1 ??
Would be in a 3rd system 12 X 12 open loft on one side.
2 channel listening only with modest electronics 1K maximum cost
I especially want to hear from anyone with the B1s. Are they a serious monitor?
Thanks

I myself have never understood bookshelf speakers on stands, of course I have been there and done that but stands cost money so why not just incorporate that cost into some tower speakers, but in the case one needs a smaller speaker for on a shelf or desk well then that makes sense, my vote is a pair of T1's
Having owned the Stealth 6 speakers I won't say they didn't sound really really good but I missed that fuller sound that a proper tower speaker produces.

The issue with having towers is in losing the flexibility of subwoofer placement since you are relying on the towers to be full range. The location of the speakers may not be optimal for bass frequencies, which is what I experienced when I used to have my Mirage OMD towers.
I prefer bookshelf speakers with a sub. The Mirage speakers looked out of place in the room, too - like those monoliths in 2001.

Stands are cheap and that's if they aren't already free by virtue of the environment.
I have the B1 speakers but it's not particularly relevant. A bookshelf speaker and a sub will outperform a tower nine times out of ten. In this case there is a price Delta of $400, you can get a good sub for that kind of money. Heck, you can pick up two BIC F12 subs for that money and we all know how effective dual subs can be.
