This area is a bit of an experiment, so whether it stays or goes will depend on how useful it becomes.
Also note that this is an experimental area....
Anything you post here is OURS to do with as we please....
We may add or remove entries as we see fit....
And we may even edit entries for length....
There is a LOT of information online about audio equipment and the audiophile hobby.
We all frequently include links to our favorite magazine, or our favorite resource for DAC reviews, or our favorite YouTube review channel, in our posts.
I thought it might be a good idea to have a single place to collect information about that sort of resources.
HERE ARE THE GUIDELINES AND RULES ABOUT WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE HERE.....
I'm going to create a series of threads - one for each different type of resource.
The object here is to provide links that enable people to find what they're looking for.
Each thread will be for a particular TYPE of resource.
In that thread, feel free to post A SINGLE POST ENTRY WITH A LINK TO THAT RESOURCE.
Your entry should include the name of the resource, a short description, and perhaps a comment about why you chose to add it.
The object is to be able to read down a thread and see a list of interesting resources of that type.
Here's an example:
In the AUDIOPHILE MAGAZINES thread:
Stereophile
www.stereophile.com
This is the website for Stereophile, the popular audiophile magazine.
It includes lots of free content, including stories, equipment reviews, and advertisements.
Think of this like an old-style Yellow Pages phone book.
- Each entry should be short and concise (so people know what to expect).
- Entries may NOT include discussion - DO NOT post a reply with comments about an entry.
If you feel that an entry is inappropriate, PM someone on Staff and we MAY remove it if we agree with your assessment.
- Entries may not be "blatantly commercial" (notice how, in the example, I didn't suggest that anybody should join or subscribe).
