Microphone for Windows Cortana living room use

I want to use Cortana but my pc is in a living room and I sit far away from it (5-10 feet). Does anybody have suggestions for a microphone? I guess I'm thinking of something like Amazon Echo which can hear you anywhere....but for Cortana.
It'll likely have to be USB or bluetooth capable as I'm planning on retiring my Asus Xonar sound card to make way for a dedicated digital audio transport

I think MS is doing something themselves, I saw a news about it few days back. Other option is to make one yourself /6973211#/ connect with bt to your pc.
