The volume down button on my XMC-1 remote just broke. Took the batteries out for a few minutes to see if I could reset it. It didn't. The power button on the XMC-1 flashes as I raise the volume. But it doesn't flash when I try to lower the volume. So it's not emitting any IR on the down command. Crap. I'll call Emotiva in the morning and see if it can be fixed or if it is easier just to replace it. Now I need to jump in and out of my chair to lower the volume. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I'm sure Emotiva can help. Meanwhile, try cotton wool. To lower the volume place a piece in one ear. To lower it more, place a piece in both ears. Keep it with you and there's no need to move.

I knew this was the right place for good suggestions.
But seriously. I called the Emotiva Tech line this morning and got Cathy. (Thanks Cathy). She forwarded me to a repair tech and Big Dan answered the phone. A short chat and he determined that it is a warranty issue. (Thanks Big Dan). New remote on the way. Yeahhhhhhh!
I LOVE Emotiva.

I haven't used an original remote outside of initial setup in years. I guess that is why they all still look like new. Good thing you are being taken care of. If you talk to Dan again ask about the Atmos upgrade release date.
