All,
I really want a pair of floorstanding speakers. I have a pair of Soliloquy 5.0 monitors and the matching C-3 center. By my count that is enough drivers to make a 2.5 way floorstander. How difficult wouod it be to repurpose these drivers and get an enclosure from part express or madisound? Obviously nee crovers would be in order.

I wouldn't recommend it, even if you did completely redo crossovers which would be a challenging project on its own each driver has parameters regarding optimal enclosure volumes that would be affected with a new design.
What are you looking to get out of floorstanding speakers versus your bookshelf speakers that a sub wouldn't provide ?
If you want a more cohesive look with an added bottom end you could always replicate the width and depth of the cabinet as an added bottom for your bookshelf speakers you could then incorporate the bottom end I imagine you looking for in a separate speaker enclosure. This way instead of redesigning an entire new speaker you could just incorporate them together like a sub woofer with a Long pass filter. Almost like a Wilson audio speaker!

Forgot to mention that this exact driver compliment was used in their model 5.3 speaker.
I want to get a more full range sound without using a sub because I have never been happy with a sub in the mix.

Easier, and sell the 5.0. You may get some good deals due to the age.

The Soliloquy speakers were well regarded, but not my end game. If for a couple hundred in parts I could repurpose my existing speakers I would. Unfortunately one of my 5.0 cabinets has a couple deep scratches in them and can't be sold.

It's not difficult at all if you know what you're doing and have the right test gear. If you are just starting out, however, and really want to build something I'd recommend starting with a kit designed by a pro.

No offense but "no tools or skills" means time to buy some Emotiva T2s.

I have no tools or skills..... I have tools (lots of tools) and woodworking skills and still find it hard to find time to finish my DIY speakers. And I'm building from fully vetted plans. I'd go with something purchased.

Ah okay, so it would make more sense to buy a complete kit like mentioned with the drivers optimized for this task. Rather than repurpose your current drivers. You don't save tons of money on repurposing your current drivers fwiw. It's the enclosure, and labor to put things all together that costs. You'd still save money. But you would need some skills and stuff like that. Otherwise check out one of the cheaper floorstanders on sale. The T1 does sell for quite a nice price imo and meets a good in between point between big old floorstander and tiny bookshelf. The t 2 of course will give more bass.

Why not try putting some speakers together? Parts Express has a 2 way tower kit they call Tri-Trix, that sells for cheap. Beg borrow or steal the tools needed to put these together. Just glue and screw em. While it's nice to have the big clamps to hold the cabinet together to let the glue set you can just drive screws in them. Not the best way but if you're careful with alignment of the parts it can be done. Or get some big clamps to do it right. Slap on a few coats of paint and you have something you can legitimately call DIY. There's some mention of this kit over on AVS in the DIY section of the Speakers forum. Some have compared the sound to Salk Song Towers. Since both are a transmission line cabinet they should both have excellent bass response. The ST's do. One of these days I'm going to order a kit. I don't care if I have to give them away after I compare them to any of my main speakers - the Infinity IL40s in the bedroom - the AR-2ax in the back room vinyl setup - and of course the song towers. Check out the videos that PE has posted showing how easy this kit is. The reviews are very positive as well. For $276 it seems like a great deal if you can put the puzzle together on your own.

Stop do not pass go do not collect $200. If you want floorstanders. Sell your monitors and buy floorstanders. You would save money in the shortrun

I owned a pair of Studio ref 20, gen 1 and always felt it excelled at rock music and HT. My understanding is that v3 and above were much more musical speakers. I am leaning this was because I know that if they didn't work for me in my stereo I'd be very happy with them at the TV.
The Joseph audio speakers have a great reputation when used wuth Rogue Audio equipment. My onky concern here is that the reviews I read stated they were a bit laid back and that is what I have now.
Linn Ninka are speakers that I heard many years ago and was blown away by their musicality. Very tempted by these, but also read that they can be a bit muddy in the bass.
Martin Logan- never heard any of their electrostatic speakers. It says they dip to 1.7 ohm, not sure my Rogue Amp or XPA-100 gen 2 would be happy with that.
