I so much hate that "for the price" cliché...😡 They don't want to insult their advertisers of the 3K speakers

The review started off with auddyssey room correction. Why not do one with and without. Room corrrection means you are changing the speakers FR.

I'm sure the speakers deserved the praise given in the review but I have to question the credibility of any reviewer that uses Audyssey or any room correction right away without even bothering to listen to the speakers as they are. I realize you might use that to dial in the bass (which he said didn't work so he had to do it manually) but the mains and other speakers? Too bad that review is tainted.

If you do not have a receiver with Audyssey, now you have no clue what it sounds like because it was only tested with room correction.

If you do not have a receiver with Audyssey, now you have no clue what it sounds like because it was only tested with room correction. Well that means you'll just have to go to Emofest to hear them. Actually, I bet those speakers sound very good if they are anything like the rest of the line with the AMT's. It is probably better to order them and evaluate them in your home (with or without room correction) and pay for the return shipping in case you don't like them, then put your reliance on a review. Especially one like that! I've only had Audyssey on an Onkyo AVR and it made things sound worse. After correction, recordings (like Steely Dan) had a boxy, nasal character.

This guy Bob Barrett lost any credibility with me after his first two sentences.
In the 12 years since being founded, Emotiva Audio has built an almost cult-like following of loyal home theater and audio enthusiasts seeking value-priced quality electronics. Recently the company added loudspeakers to its product lineup, too.
Recently? Apparently he must have been still in grade school (certainly not into audio/HT) about 9 years ago when Audioholics reviewed five of the outstanding Emotiva Reference speakers. These were designed with help from speaker builder guru Vance Dickason were the very best bang for the buck speakers at that time. Gene DellaSala wrote: This is one of the most well executed loudspeaker system designs of come across in years regardless of their asking price. Since then Emotiva has introduced several new speaker lines.
Regardless of the conclusion in this review, Home Theater.com needs to find reviewers who have at least been around for a few years or do some homework before writing a review.

I felt the review was overall a positive one, if not effusive. We did get a 5/5 star rating, which is just fine with me.
S&V, C|NET, and HTR all say the T1s are good, so I believe that qualifies as an unbroken winning streak.
