I want to simply turn on / off my XPA-5 via the trigger - but can't manage. There's 3 options : 1. Cable faulty (I've tried 2 though ...) 2. UMC-200 and/or XPA-5 faulty 3. Settings I'm hoping it's the last :/ I remember my old UMC-1 and UPA-1 amps there was no real setting. I plugged them in, and it worked ... where this doesn't. Anyone know simply what I need to do? In the menu, there is something like All PWR Zone, and Input Set for each (as well Zone 2 / Zone 3) - and again under each input there is another. I guess it's more flexible and one can trigger different things with different inputs - but all I want is on and off

I had this combination several years ago and did what you are looking to do, though I don't remember settings. If I remember correctly, both trigger outputs can be independently programmed. So I'm guessing it's your #3. Hopefully someone with a UMC-200 will chime in here and give you more specifics.

On my UMC-200...
Menu > Setup > Input Setup > Trigger 1 Mode (set to Main Zone), Trigger 2 Mode (set to Main Zone)
This setting turns my Parasound amp on and off.
