I had my DC-1 about two years but never bother to enter setup mode since it was working for me as intended. However I wanted to change the audio output to fixed level, and according to manual, it suppose to enter into setup menu when you push the input/menu button but for life of me, I can't enter the setup mode. I am not able to push the button like I can with volume/standby button. Did they remove this setup feature? Do I change the output volume level to 0.00 for fixed output?

I believe after you get to the setup menu you have to press the button to enter in to it. I don't know which button your press though. I don't think they changed it.

I am not even able to go to "setup". According to manual, you push the input/menu dial to enter setup mode but the button is not pushable at all.

I called Emotiva customer support this morning and they had a simple solution to my problem. It can be done without sending the unit back to Emotiva. I am going to try this simple solution tonight after work and report back if it is good to go or not.

remove the knob and put a small amount of tape or teflon over a small portion then slide it back on

lynnmass603 is right. First, you have to remove the input/menu knob by pulling straight out. I had to use little bit of force to remove the knob in my unit but it came out finally. I would have not use that much force unless the Emotiva tech support assured me to just pull straight out. Next, I packed very small wad of cotton into middle of inside knob and install back to the unit. And the knob is working as it suppose to be working. I was able to enter into "setup" mode like in the manual. As usual, Emotiva support was right on the money to help me.
