I have the UMC-200 and the XPA-5 amp. I am running the current firmware in the UMC-200, V1.52.02.47.
My source is the DirecTV HDVR Model#: HR34-700.
The problem is when I run all of my inputs to the UMC-200, the DirecTV unit continuously cuts out the Audio and video stating "Receiving Auto Signal Adjust (now) ". It does this so often the TV is not watchable. This also happens when I am watching something I recorded on the DVR. I can pause the DVR or live feed, and the audio/video still cuts in and out. It has gotten progressively worse and I am about ready to go shoot the UMC-200. When I plug the DirecTV directly into the TV, I have no issues at all.
This appears to be a sync issue with the audio/video decode or possible HDCP issue since it's all HDMI?
Is this a DirecTV receiver issue, or a Sync issue between the UMC-200 and the DirecTV receiver?
DirecTV has an issue where their receiver will come up and states your TV does not support this content and it tells you to plug in an RGB to solve the problem, When I talk to them, they say they have an HDMI issue with some broadcast channels and their answer is to send the customer an RGB RCA cable. Obviously this is a band aid, coupled with the fact you can no longer receive the High-def you are paying for. And if you have a high end system like the UMC-200, the video inputs are all HDMI, so this does not work.
In any case, I currently have to bypass the UMC-200 to watch TV which is very annoying since I have about $10k in my audio/video system setup and I can't use it due to the issues described above.
Can you help me shed some light on this issue? I assume I will need to have my DirecTV receiver replaced, but it is odd that the audio/video cutting in and out is not consistent.
I appreciate any help in this matter as I am very frustrated.
Thank you,
