I havent been able to find an answer with some searching.
I have an a700 that i am dropping from 7 channels driven to 3. Is there any issue with doing that? And is there a way to calculate the power to the 3 active channels? From what i have read, power is redirected from unused channels, but i havent read anything definitive.
Thanks in advance.

Theres no problem using three channels vs all seven and yes there should be a wpc bump but I don't have those specs. This is true for the U and X series amps so im guessing its true with the BasX amps as well. Ive been using my TA-100 and a UPA-500 for two channel for some time and it does preform a little better IMHO.

There may be data at Emotiva corporate but for now it is a mystery to me. Wish I could be of more help.

An unimportant 'bump' of maybe 1db. Anything less than 2x the power (+3db) is generally insignificant.
Amp is 110x2 OR 80x7. A difference of about 1.4db increase when running 2 channels. But probably capable of a lot louder when doing 7 channels.
If you called is 100x3 you wouldn't be far enough off to matter.
