Hi I am currently using PMC Twenty26 speakers and they are over powered by my new XPR2 SE.
What are the best speakers recommended to relish that XPR2 power? Up to $16K budget...

What do you mean by "overpowered"?

No such thing as too much power! I have a pair of 4 ohm Tekton design brilliance speakers rated at 250 watts powered by a pair of XPR-1's delivering 1750 watts each to them if i put it up full volume. I can crank them where the leds on the amps go over 3/4 of the way up with no problems, ear bleeding volume level, with tons of head room!

I think he's saying the XPR-2 has no problems with it and he wants to upgrade it to something more its speed. But yeah don't worry about too much power. Speakers get damaged by too little power which causes clipping. The too much power (unless you are grossly negligent and play at insane volumes) isn't usually a real world problem.

I have the Revel F208 and it sounds great with the XPR-2. But you have lots of choices with that budget. I Obviously I think the Revel is the best choice and you can get the top of the line Salon2.

If you have funds like that available for loudspeakers, Then, you can afford anything (save esoterica) that will fill the bill. That being said, the best approach is to get out there for product demos (grant it. No easy task these days). The speakers have to grab your ears and no one else's. Take a few months and get around. A most rewarding pursuit as most of the time they end up being a lifetime investment. As you can see from earlier responses (regarding power) You have some unfounded concerns that you can get some good advice from here, but nobody should be telling you what sounds right to your own 👂 's! Important to note, that once you latch onto the "sound", you may find that particular loudspeaker will come in different sizes with identical, but fewer or greater driver compliment.
Needless to say that goes towards your space limitations and if you have none, well then, you really go to town🤣.
