I could use a little help here.
I just got the MC700 and either I'm doing something wrong, the unit has a glitch or this "feature" is incredibly inconvenient. I'm hoping I'm just stupid (though I'm pretty technically inclined).
It seems that if I want to send the sound to the TV speakers I have to chose HDMIAUDIOOUT\TV and, consequently, if I move to and input that triggers the XPA-5, I get no audio. I have to go back into OPTIONS and change HDMIAUDIOOUT to AMPLIFIER...and vice-versa.
Is this the way it's supposed to work? It seems incredibly inconvenient. Other than that, I'm loving this little unit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx all.

Since nobody else seems to want to take this, yes this is how it works and yes it is inconvenient... In my case I want to send sound when using output 2 to TV speakers and sound when using output 1 to amplifier and I can't do this without going through menus so I just keep the MC-700 switched off when I use output 2 so the sound just passes through. Obviously this is not ideal if I want to change input while using output 2. I assume it has to be this way as the receiving HDMI device has to tell the source what type of signal to send i.e. something suitable for your TV or something suitable for your choices on the MC-700, but if there was a simpler way to change from TV to amp without going through the menu e.g. an IR remote code I'd like it.

Hmmm...
So I took the HDMI from the MC-700 out of the ARC input on my TV, HDMI1, and placed it in HDMI2 and now I get sound from both the speakers and the XPA5.
I don't stream any video such as Netflix or the like, so I guess this will work for me...until I decide to stream video and I want the sound to the amp.
