HI and greetings from Belgium
I have since long time the B&W DM600 series for my speakers
For the 2 fronts : DM603 S3
For the center ; LCR60S3
For the surrounds: DM601 S3
They are at the moment connected to an Onkyo receiver TX-NR626
I feel this receiver falls to short. It has not enough power
I am considering buying the XPA+GEN3 (7 amplifiers) Would that be a good choice or better stick with a XPA-GEN3 with 2 channel for the front speakers and buying other smaller amps for the center and surround speakers
Thank you all

You will get many opinions but I would
XPA-GEN3 with 2 channel for the front speakers and smaller amps for the center and surround speakers
Emotiva is the amp leader when it come to bang for the buck

Welcome, Your thoughts are buying 7 XPA GEN3's is totally subjective. The DM603 series I believe is a monitor speaker that should run sufficiently on 200 watts per channel. Then again I am not you. If your listening pallet is LOUD on a regular basis the XPA GEN 3' will give you lots of headroom. I am coming from a different listening viewpoint... that less is MORE. My HT theater is powered by a 200 watt per channel (7channel amplifier) with 2subwoofers. It is the Outlaw 7700. My room is about 1750 cubic' and sounds better than any movie theater I have ever been too. Note I do not frequent movie theaters all to often.
My favorite venue is music and I power my B&W803 diamonds that are on double duty (HT& MUSIC) with a pair of Bob Latino mono-blocks. Push/pull configuration using 35watts in Triode mode for left and right channel and the sound is sublime listening to Jazz, Blues, and Classical. They also sound pretty damn good listening to Pink Floyd in Pentode mode at 65 watts per channel. Triode and Pentode modes are using just two output tubes. Four tubes would give you 65 watts and 125 watts respectively.
Have fun!
BTW...nice speakers 🔊

Several options you can go with here. It comes down to budget and space. Could you give us a little more insight on these and that way people can give you some more tailored suggestions for your system.

Welcome herbots! My first reaction is..."yeah, what they said". On top of that, I'll add...my first step into Emotiva was adding more power than my AVR provided. It was as night and day as I have ever experienced. If I were to do it all over again, I'd personally focus on more power for my front 3 and buy the highest quality for those I could afford. Then, I would worry about the rest last...unless having an "all in 1 box" amp were critical.
So, whether that is an XPA-3 or mono's for all 3 FR/FL/C or...whatever. I'd do that. Your AVR should be able to handle the rest fine especially as you relieve the power supply of handling the front 3.
That's my 2 cents. I mean...Euro's...

Welcome Herbots, I notice your Onkyo doesn't have RCA pre-outs on it to hook up external amps, were you also looking to change receivers or change to a dedicated processor ? Chad

I just got an XPA-2 and very happy with the performance. I may add a third channel in the future to power the center channel. Good choice on the XMC, too.

Welcome to the Lounge! Good choice on the XMC-1. I haven't done enough research yet; waiting on the Atmos upgrade for the XMC-1, then I'll reconsider amp options, as well as in ceiling speakers (are you listening Dan?).

Do you guys know how long it will take before the goods gets delivered? I ordered an xmc-1 along with a xpa-3 on Sept 5 via an international distributor but so far has not received no information. Is there a possibility that the goods havent been built yet?
