This is my mini review for the for the Emotiva BasX A-300 amplifier. Respect this little 150 watt amp. I have two systems a 7.2 HT system using a Emotiva UMC200 with a McIntosh MC207- 250 wt per channel amplifier and a dedicated 2 channel audio only system using a Emotiva PT 100 integrated 50 watt amp.
This review is for the 2 channel system. I had been comparing the ELAC F5(88db) $279 each speakers and the B&W CM 10(90 db) $2000 each speakers with the PT100. I don't expect miracles but wanted to build a listenable modestly priced second system. It sounds pretty good. As can be expected the CM10s out shine the F5s mostly on the crisp highs and sound stage. The F5s actually have more bass than the CM10s and sound better than a $279 speaker should. The PT100 sounds like a 100 watt amp.
Enter the Emotiva A 300. It costs $399 and is worth every penny. I don't know what has happened but the combo of the Emotiva PT100 as( preamp) and the Emotiva A300 along with the B&W CM10s is a match made in heaven. Sound stage is a homerun, detail is great. Highs are great, and bass is tight and crisp. For me no sub is needed. The two channel room is complete. I have heard systems costing ten times as much that do not sound as good. On a side note I am afraid to haul the heavy McIntosh amp into this room for fear it does not sound as good. Happy Emotiva user, Pictures to follow.

First, vneal, thanks for sharing your impressions. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the A300 is a "super achiever" of an amp. Boom
