need help setting up Amp Assign for XPA 3

Hi guys,

I recently moved to XPA 3 from Anthem MCA 225 because.. well emotiva always did manage to impress me in the past

I connected it with my AVR Denon X4300H via RCA for my front L/C/R and my concern is that the Amp Assign is set to pre-out L/R channels only and not the Center channel. Am I doing something wrong here?
Assign mode: 11.1ch
Floor Layout : 5ch & SB
Height Sp : 4ch
Layout : Top Middle & Rear Height
Pre-Out : Front

You can let it play, and you can listen to the center channel speaker to verify it is outputting sound. to verify its working.

Yes it is outputting sound but besides that is there anything else that might be getting ignored such as wattage being wasted from AVR for something ?

If I understand your set up, Your front LCR channels go from Pre out to XPA to speakers. The rest of the speakers are being fed from the receiver. This should be fine. The normal speaker outputs on the receiver should actually have nothing out of them now since you are bypassing the internal amplifier of the receiver now for the LCR.

If there is no load (i.e. speaker) connected to your AVR's speaker outputs, you have nothing to worry about.
