I just got my unit a few days ago. Haven't had time since house will not be quiet to set up Dirac. Musically in 2 channel mode sounds great. However, when watching a movie or sports, the center channel sounds like voices in tunnel, kind of muffled. I have all B&w speakers. 802 front, HTM-2 center, CDM7NT rear, CWM800 surrounds, 2 SVS Sb-16s in bonus. Is it bebecause I havent set up Dirac and tuned? Your input would be appreciated. I'm really scratching my head. My downstairs system with a Denon Avr-4311 sounds better for Tv and movies.

Presumably you are using speaker preset 1 for the AV input. Have you set levels and distances?

I have experienced this with the center channel before, seems to occasionally get confused between stereo and surround modes

Did you turn the TV's speakers off? They usually aren't in synch with what's coming out your surround system, and if they're both (TV & Surround system) playing, it creates exactly the effect you describe, longsofty.

I've almost the exact same setup as you and experience this with 2.0 channel content processed by PLIIx movie mode. Is that what you're exeriencing? The folks at Emotiva have been unable to reproduce, but there are a few similar reports on the forums. Switching to PLIIx music and then back to movie should resolve. I've no issue with true multi-channel content -- only PLIIx movie processing of 2.0 content.

I used to have this with my UMC-200 and what I think it was was that somehow, something had switched the sub and center channel. Every once in awhile it sounded like the outputs switched internally and it was sending all the center channel info to the sub. A quick flip to a different surround mode and back fixed the issue every time.
