Recently noticed my A-500 has bad static coming from 1 channel and slight static from another. I still get the static even when no RCA's are connected. Any one else have this problem?

Check your speaker connections. A simple tightening of the binding posts might help. A couple of years ago I had a similar problem with a pair of Emotiva ERM-1 bookshelf speakers. It wasn't the speaker wiring though - it was the shorting straps. One binding post was slightly loose and allowed the connection to go bad. It looked slightly tarnished.

Just checked and all speaker connections are good and tight. Also noticed the static is worse when I disconnect the RCA's.

Hello hilodb1,
Please contact support@emotiva.com with product support issues, or call our toll-free number. This is the only way we can track your specific issue through to resolution.
We do not address these types of issues on the forum because then we would have no way to track them or verify that we haven't missed someone. We have tried it in the past and it has been our experience that it doesn't work out over the long run.
Best regards,
Rory Buszka Emotiva Engineering

I was just checking to see if anyone else had this issue and if they found a solution. Wanted to make sure it wasnt an install error.
