Hello all, I just got the MC-700 and plugged it into my PS4 Pro but it only shows video output if I disable HDR on my TV. I have an LG OLED, when I hook up my PS4 directly to the TV and enable HDR on the TV it works fine. However when I put the MC-700 info the mix and enable HDR on the TV the screen goes black (sound still works though). Had anyone else had this issue?

I think I recall reading here someone else having the same issue. I believe they played with the color depth settings in the PS4 and resolved it.

Unfortunately I do not - I was just casually reading the thread as I don't have the Pro. It was a fairly recent post though.

Found a thread saying to factory reset my PS4. I have most of my games on the HD so that would be a pain. If I can't get this to work I may have to consider returning the unit My Marantz 5009 had no problem with the PS4 displaying 4k (no HDR though).

Feels like the new Umc unit problems back again and very long update time on the firmwares.
Ofc its the same Chip but i hoped they learned something from UMC-1 & UMC-200, March 2011 are not yesterday

You probably already know this, but just in case you're using HDMI inputs 4,5 & 6, only HDMI inputs 1, 2 and 3 support full 4k UHD HDR video with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.

I'm having exactly the same problem with a PS4 Pro. Very frustrating. The MC700 seems very finicky with handshakes with all of my devices. I have to power cycle them often to get signal and a correct handshake. LG OLED 65" B7, Nvidia Shield, Tivo Bolt and PS4 Pro (and of course the MC700).
Anyone have some success getting the HDR on the PS4 Pro to play nice with their MC700?
I've got a Denon Receiver on the way to see if it deals with my setup better. Any help in the meantime would be appreciated.
Cheers.
EDIT: Looks like the same issues with the Denon. Looks like it's a funny issue with the PS4 Pro and the LG. Along with a separate issue with CEC and the Shield (the shield takes control of the active input whenever it wakes up even though CEC is turned off on it). Just wanted to put this here in case someone stumbles on the same issue.
Google "ps4 pro HDCP HDMI Safe mode" for a fix that kind of makes things better.
