just wondering if anyone has heard any rumblings about an update/upgrade of the current XSP-1 GEN 2 in the works? just asking..........

I’ve wondered that too, not that I need another monoblock. One thing I noticed, not sure where, maybe in the Podcast, was a comment that you could have any configuration you wanted as long as you chose two blades. Maybe when the double wide blades are out there will be an XPA-1 G3.

I think the question was XSP-1 G3, not XPA.

Last night I got to set up my XSP-1 gen 2 after a few months of it collecting dust. Once I fired it up and heard a few tunes I smiled and thought to myself "what a great preamp!" Now that I'm happy with it I'm sure a Gen 3 will be eventually released and I will be bit by the bug of upgraditis! Either way Gen 2 is a wonderful piece of gear. |

Given there was no mention at all of a new XSP-1 at Emofest, I think it's safe to say there's nothing really planned. They have a lot on their table anyway. If they were to do anything, my guess is that is's way down the list after the RMC-1, XMC-1 upgrades, the XMC-2, the DC-2, Emersa, and maybe - just maybe...and XMC-light.
