Anyone have some good ideas on some speaker stands to support my DIYSG 1099s. They are heavy and need to have a good base so they don't tip over, looking for something I can buy or put together fairly fast and cheap.

I think this AVS member screwed / glued MDF to his cabinets and filled the bottom section with sand. I prefer this look...

I was originally thinking of the 1099s, but went with the smaller 893s. Here's a picture of my "stands"...

LOL, I instantly thought 4cuft sealed 18's when I read the title...
If the speakers are hidden, just use some 1x3's and build a simple "box". Worked well for my 1099's when I had them. If they're in the open, some more care will need to be taken.

Agreed... if hidden, easier / faster to build with 2x4s and if not, you need to be more "creative".

Thanks I may do this... looking on a website now called 8020.net cool stuff Check eBay as they have a store there and sell odd lengths and bundles of tubing... if they have the right length you need, you can save a ton of cash.
