Hi All, after weeks of finally getting to setting up Dirac Live I have run into an issue I can’t figure out. All speaker distance have been set and I ran the Dirac Live software to set my system. For some reason, Dirac boosts my subs volume, therefore making it super bassy. So I ran the setup again and same issue. My 7 speakers sound great, however my 2 subs are about to bring the walls down. I then lowered the volume of both subs and lowered the gain but my subs still hit hard. Even watching regular TV and a mans voice that is deep almost makes it like an echo with the other speakers. What am I doing wrong? During setup, the test of each sub is very low and I followed instructions not to raise the volume so it throws off the other speakers. I know you guys know the ins and outs.

Sounds like you might do well to pick up Dirac Full from Emotiva. It'll give you full control of the target curve speaker levels for test tones. And an individually calibrated mic like a UMIK from Cross Spectrum might also be a good idea.
But just a thought, do you have AGC (Automatic Gain Control) of the mic turned off?

longsofty - what do you mean by "setting the speaker distances"? Dirac does that, doesn't it?

Dirac does indeed set the distances. So anything the user may set in the other two presets is ignored by Dirac.
