So there is a UMC-200 for sale on Audiogon but the seller mentions it has HDMI switching issues, I was wondering if this is something that can be repaired through Emotiva repair center in the US or Canada. Tagging the guru KeithL Has anyone else had this issue ? Thanks in advance, Chad

A lot of the "HDMI issues" people report turn out to be user error, or compatibility issues with specific sources, or sometimes even cable issues. If there's something wrong with that UMC-200, then we (and our friends in Canada) can fix it. Or, with luck, sometimes a simple firmware update will fix it. Of course, I would STRONGLY encourage anyone buying used equipment to get the warranty transferred to them (if it's still in effect). That's something that people often overlook when purchasing used equipment..... You don't want to find out later, after you need service, that the seller can no longer be found, or can't or won't transfer their warranty to you. Our transferable warranties must actually be transferred; they don't just go by manufacture date. Thanks Keith, I sent him a message asking what HDMI issues he is having in particular, I have had issues in the past with certain equipment having HDMI handshake issues, he is saying in his ad "Known HDMI issues" whatever that means haha, I have also asked about warranty remaining as I have bought and sold lots of Emotiva gear so I understand the importance of this. Hey Keith, So I'm told by the seller that it loses HDMI connection/switching and has to be powered off to fix the issue. This is a response from him "Hi Chad, The HDMI occasionally does not connect/switch internally and unit must be powered off and back on again to fix. So it works, just a big hassle. If shipping to Canada I will have to get a quote for you on shipping to your address. No warranty on the unit, but there may be firmware to fix it. I upgraded before checking on the Firmware"Edit - he checked and warranty is good till October 2018 I'm gonna call you guys to see on the possibility of him shipping it to you guys for service under warranty and then have it shipped to me in Canada and what that would entail in cost and such.
