I have a Rel s5 subwoofer I will connect with hilevel cable to Emotiva xpa1 gen 2 monoblocks,is there someone how now how I do this i WOULD CALL Emotiva support on Monday and ask about the hilevel cable connections with the monoblocks, There was a thread a couple years ago about the wiring with monoblocks and a grounding issue. I dont remember the fix and can't find the thread for reference. Mark

Doesn’t this sub already have an amp? M Nick the rel subs have a standard lfe input and a high level input using sensing wires off the system amp. The sub does have an amp. Whats nice about them is that you can hook them up for movies using LFE and use the processor bass management. and using the hi level you can use them in 2 channel set up using the subs bass management. Very versatile sub. The Rels also work great with Maggies. Mark

Connect the wires from the Neutrik connector as follows:
Red wire - Right positive speaker terminal Yellow wire - Left positive speaker terminal Black wire - connect to either of the speaker terminal negative terminal. If you get a hum remove the black wire from the speaker terminal, unscrew a screw from the chasis of the Emotiva amp just enough to wrap the black wire around it and then tighten it back down.

It shouldn't matter what amp you have. You would still connect the wires the same way I have listed above. You don't need to connect the REL to the processor, just the amp.
If you do want to connect the REL to the Marantz or surround processor for LFE then you would just the a traditional sub cable with RCA ends on it.
