Santa's gonna need a bigger sled, I'm gonna ask him for a couple of XPA-1's in addition to the sub!

I'm the market for a single Subwoofer. Has anyone heard this one? Debating on this or HSU, ETC. Not interested in SVS I just want something other than SVS, nothing to gripe about.

Ok kids.... I called this morning. They are still waiting for part(s) to come in. They said we're still 4 wks out. My initial hunt for a sub was to find a mate for my Emo Ultra 12 (wish I had bought another while they were still available). I wanted a sealed unit for its musicality and one with a balanced input so I wouldn't be concerned with longer cable runs. Most of the subs with balanced inputs are well over $1k. If the SVS SB-2000 had a balanced input, it would be perfect for me. Now I'm reading a white paper stating to avoid subs with passive radiators if your going to use it for music! I dunno at this point, maybe I'll go with the SB-2000

I haven’t read that paper but do own a set of older Klipsch 308’s which have one active and two passive radiators, 350 watt plate amp. Paired with any set of speakers ive owned they are extremely musical! Im using them at this moment with my KEF LS50’s and Im loving the sound they make. |
